Burglaries Disrupt Habitat's Promise

A rash of burglaries on the Habitat construction sites on Love and Silver Streets has disrupted our progress and discouraged our staff and homeowners. The Democrat and Chronicle provided front-page coverage to encourage residents to provide police a lead.

For the second time, a group of FCHH staff and volunteers participated in a Jimmy Carter Work Project "blitz build." As part of a week-long effort to build 230 homes in the Detroit area, a highly-skilled crew from Flower City Habitat led the construction of House #25.
